Inspired to Play was a very special milestone for us. It was our very first project organised for children in the local community, created with the aim of encouraging young people to get active, discover cricket, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun.
The project was part of an initiative supported by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), giving children from the community an opportunity to come together, learn new skills and develop a love for the game in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Seeing the children take part, enjoy themselves and grow in confidence made the project incredibly rewarding for everyone involved. What began as our first community project became the foundation for our commitment to creating positive opportunities for children through sport.
We were incredibly proud that our work was recognised and awarded by the ECB. This recognition meant a great deal to us, as it celebrated not only the project itself but also the dedication of everyone who helped make it possible.
Inspired to Play was more than just a cricket project — it was the beginning of our journey to inspire, empower and bring our community together through sport.
